RILEYS BEST BALL LADIES CLASSIC
TM
MAY-JULY 2024
40th Anniversary Celebration!
The Rileys Best Ball Ladies Classic is the kickoff to the Calgary Ladies Golf Association season and is the longest running best ball tournament in North America. It’s a great way to play different courses and meet new friends, all in the name of fun and fellowship.
Here are some exciting changes to this year's event!
Qualification and Ranking Procedure
The lowest 48 teams qualify to play in the tournament with teams defined in 3 flights. In the past, to determine team rankings, all of the lower and half of the higher team index was taken to determine a combined handicap for each team. This year, team rankings will be based only on the lower index of the two players as updated by Golf Canada on the day after the entry deadline.
Draw
There will be a random draw within each flight to determine home course advantage and opponents. This will be revealed at the opening cocktail party and will surely shake things up a bit adding excitement and fun!
Dates
Because the draw reveal is not until May, match deadlines are pushed back (which will also give everyone a chance to get their games tuned up after the winter) as well as Championship Sunday now scheduled in July. You will not want to miss the Finals where we will bring back past winners and have some special celebrations! EVERYONE who qualifies for the tournament is invited, regardless of whether you play in to the Finals. Championship matches will be later in the afternoon so that everyone can play a golf game in the morning then come out to watch your favourite groups compete for trophies.

A and B side finals in each flight are played and celebrated on Championship Sunday in July hosted at Canyon Meadows
