MEDALIST BACKGROUND
The Medalist is a series of five one-day tournaments that brings together seasoned competitors who relish both personal challenge as well as team competition and spirit. It is open to CLGA women and junior girl members who have an established handicap index of 12 or less.
Each tournament has a 24-player field divided in to 6 teams of four players competing against each other in a 2 best net format. At season end, there is an awards banquet where individual performances are recognized and rewarded after cumulative statistics for most fairways, greens in regulation and up and downs are tallied. The highest honours are bestowed to the players with lowest scoring averages for the series.

Selection Guidelines

​Entries for each series event are accepted by email only, on the day one week prior to the event -
send your name and current index to Louise Crampton -
The 24 lowest entry handicap players are selected and notified of their draw by email

Members who do not qualify are also contacted and placed on a waiting list
2025 Co-ordinators
​The Medalist series is often oversubscribed. If you are accepted but need to withdraw for personal reasons please give either Medalist co-ordinator Susan Spencer or Louise Crampton 48 hours notice so that a substitute can be arranged
