MEDALIST BACKGROUND
The Medalist is a series of five one-day tournaments that brings together seasoned competitors who relish both personal challenge as well as team competition and spirit. It is open to CLGA women and junior girl members who have an established handicap index of 12 or less.
Each tournament has a 24-player field divided in to 6 teams of four players competing against each other in a 2 best net format. At season end, there is an awards banquet where individual performances are recognized and rewarded after cumulative statistics for most fairways, greens in regulation and up and downs are tallied. The highest honours are bestowed to the players with lowest scoring averages for the series.
