TOURNAMENT BACKGROUND
The Calgary Ladies Closed Amateur is a flighted 54-hole, 3-day, sanctioned stroke play event considered a premier tournament for amateur ladies in Calgary. This event is open to all women from CLGA member clubs who carry a valid Golf Canada Handicap Factor.

96 entrants are selected from the lowest handicap factors entries and are assigned in up to 8 flights. The Calgary Ladies Amateur and Runner up champion are crowned based on lowest total 3-day gross scores. An overall net champion is also crowned from a 3-day cumulative low net score. Gross and net prizes are awarded in all flights.

World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR) recognizes the Calgary Ladies Closed Amateur as a tournament for which winners may collect points towards their WAGR standing.

2025 Calgary Ladies Closed Amateur Champions
The field for the 2025 Calgary Ladies Closed Amateur was the most competitive in the 95 years of the championship. The championship flight contenders were all plus handicap players and the ferocity of their competitiveness did not disappoint. On the final day of the 3-day competition, Aastha Savadatti of Canyon Meadows fired a second round of 69 to capture the title by two strokes. Tessa Ion of Pinebrook and former 2023 champion is the 1st low gross winner. Taking home the overall low net champion title is Liz Hadden of Sirocco. Congratulations to all of the flight winners.
