CLOSED AMATEUR

TOURNAMENT BACKGROUND

The Calgary Ladies Closed Amateur is a flighted 54-hole, 3-day, sanctioned stroke play event considered a premier tournament for amateur ladies in Calgary. This event is open to all women from CLGA member clubs who carry a valid Golf Canada Handicap Factor.

96 entrants are selected from the lowest handicap factors entries and are assigned in up to 8 flights. The Calgary Ladies Amateur and Runner up champion are crowned based on lowest total 3-day gross scores. An overall net champion is also crowned from a 3-day cumulative low net score. Gross and net prizes are awarded in all flights.

World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR) recognizes the Calgary Ladies Closed Amateur as a tournament for which winners may collect points towards their WAGR standing.​
